I've read all the very interesting replies re my Hymer old tyres, will definately change them. So I've read a few people mentioning Conti, so is this the continental tyre? I havnt a clue the best type to have, any suggestions?

It’s a very personal topic, with lots of owners choosing different brands. Use the search area above and you’ll find literally dozens of threads on tyres.

Personally I use Michelin Agilis Camping

I fitted Toyo Observe Van, quite a few other Funsters have as well. All very pleased with them, nice comfortable ride and good grip levels. They are a winter tyre but work well in the summer and a lot cheaper than CP tyres.

All depends on what is available in your axle loadings, in my case I have a choice of Continental or Continental (yes two different tyres). Luckily for me I like them on my van 😂😂😂

I just got Van tyres when I changed mine about 4 years ago. Once you mention Motorhome the price goes through the roof.

I've got rid of the Michelin Agilis Camper (CP) rated tyres on my van. CP tyres have stiffer sidewalls that are supposed to resist permanent deformation from when vans are stood still for a long time. But there are many on here that have said they don't last long due to cracking. They cost more and the stiffer sidewall gives a terrible ride. So just switch to van tyres. As long as they are rated for the axle loading, they are legal and will be fine.

Personally I went for Continental VanContact 4Season. The big advantage of Continental is they publish a handbook telling you the pressures you can run depending on your axle weight. It means I can run 50psi and back it up with published data from a tyre manufacturer. And not use the 80psi that it states in my van's manual. Which also means I get an even better ride.

Same here! Toyo open country AT very road orientated as my tyre man said if he fitted them to his farmers landies then he would be in big trouble...!!!
