Moto GP

It's wide open this year. Most of the Ducati riders are capable of wins.

Maverick has wins in him.

Fab Frog will win a few.

Just hope MM is back to his best

Just hope that race direction let them race, as penalties given in the Saturday sprint race may spoil the main Sunday race.

Surely thats down to Honda, Yamaha and the other manufacturers to get their act together.

Too right it is. If the massive Japanese companies can’t beat a little company like Ducati (or Aprillia, or KTM), then that’s an abysmal state of affairs.

Ducati is an Italian motorcycle -manufacturing company that is part of the Ducati group, and is headquartered in Bologna, Italy. The company is directly owned by Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini, whose German parent company is Audi, itself owned by the Volkswagen Group.
Their advantage comes from the fact that they have the patent on the desmodromic valve system which no other manufacturer can use. It is a vast improvement over OHC valve mechanisms allowing the engine to rev much higher.

Good to see that Pol Espargaro is not in any danger and should make a recovery. Great sprint race.

And Marquez in the thick of it too.

Just read Bastianini out due to injury this afternoon.

Do any of you MotoGP fans go to any of the continental races in your vans? I’ve not been in the van but quite fancy the Austrian round.

Been to many pre covid, we would not stay at track campsites but would stay at a local campsite, we trailored a Suzuki Burgman behind the van. We tended to go to back to back gps, two gps in three weeks.

I just hope it doesn't become the Ducati series.
Yamaha the only non v engine , last of the inline 4’s and a totally different way to corner from everything else on the track.

Make sure you get a GoBox if your van needs one and you plan to use the toll roads in Austria …. that’s for another thread 😉

Went to Mugello and Catalunya last year with the van.
Had a great time.
Heading down to Jerez in the van for the Gp next month, can't wait.

Assen is great but make sure you stop ay least 5 miles away as the campsites nearer to circuit cane be a bit busy if you like sleep and some are a bit basic i.e. dire!

Got the feeling that Marc may be in trouble for that one…..
Marc needs to learn that at this stage of the season you can't win a world championship but you can go a long way to not winning one. He will give away a minimum of 37 points in Argentina, and with his penalty a good chunk of points in Austin. He is then playing catch-up with only three races gone.

He claims that the cold front tyre locked up and he wasn't even trying to overtake anybody. I still think he was overly aggressive though.

They said on BT last night, he has received a double long lap penalty!
