    Hi Carl,

i believe the retail cost is £54 for a class 1V mot....which yours is.

any garage that does cars can do it if they have a lift powerful enough to lift it.

just had the 3.85 ton kontiki done today on a 4 ton lift :Eeek:.....only pay £33 trade. :thumb:

Does an MOT cost vary depending on the size of your van? Or is there just one single price?

    Carl,

I use Washington Truck and Van Centre 0191 4160300 for van servicing. Never had the van MOT'd as yet but the wifes car was only £29.99.

Had mine done last week at a local garage, £39.99 - she only just fitted through the door (she has a roof box on) but once in, no problem with hoist or roof height.

She failed as I expected, needs a new headlight bulb (fitted) beam deflectors (LHD) and a small brake pipe - they're fixing her tomorrow. Got 10 days from test date to take her back for a certificate.

ALL properly registered motorhomes are class IV MOT regardless of size.

mine is (10mtrs) and 7500kg...still class IV MOT the same as a car.

prices do vary with a max of £54
