One of the signs that you often see on Motorways in Wales read "Gwasanaethau Services"

My dear English wife on one of our early visits to Wales commented " Oh Gwasanaethau Services I am sure we stopped here last time we came."

Bless her , she thought that was the name of that particular services such as Watford Gap rather than just a translation of Services.

We still laugh about it every time we are driving in Wales.

We took a trip to Koblenz with a large group of Harley riders for a meet with some German chapters, they were so amused when the English chapter directors wife remarked that "Ausfart" must be a huge city because she had noticed so many signs on the autobahn all the way down! Before we left the Germans presented her with a full size sparkly "Ausfart" sign as a memento.
Who says the Germans have no sense of humour
