This year is going to be our first year going into Morocco. We decided this after trying to get an extended schengen visa and running into the problem of an outsourced visa service based somewhere in India.

Having traveled around Europe for a good few years this will be our first time taking the campervan to Morocco and exciting as that is we want to cover off all our bases with the first being our dogs.

We plan to go to Morocco for 2 months, October and November.

Can you give us tips on what you know/have learned.

Starter for ten would be:
Vaccinations - Do we need anything more than we have needed to get into the EU?
Border controls - Is there any pet border control going into Morocco and is the pet border control into EU Spain the same as you find at the French side of the Eurotunnel?
Dog friendliness - Are dogs allowed on beaches?
Are there plenty of campsites that take more than one dog?

Thanks
Paul and Lucy

Have a read of this thread and maybe ask on there. When I find the past years threads I will post them. Don't forget nobody has been going the last couple of years due to covid and the Spanish/Moroccan fall out.

We took our dog, as did plenty of others, but it was a few years ago now.

Here you go. 2018 which was probably the last trouble free time most Funsters went. By trouble I mean Covid.

A lot of people do but personally I would be reluctant to take a dog. The Moroccans don't keep dogs in the same way so they tend to congregate in small packs mostly they keep well away but I have seen them barking around tourists dogs and generally being intimidating. The locals deal with them by carrying a stone but this is not so easy if you re holding a dog/dogs
