Ok ok it was my fault

Gordon at the front, Bryan next, Malcolm at the back. (we had pulled in on the way to El-Jadida).
Malcolm walks up to Gordon and says 'You just get on dont hang back for me. I need cash so will pull in to the next services'
'No' replies Gordon 'We will all pull in and stick together'
'Ok' says Malcolm and returns to his van.
We all set off.
After a few miles we pass a sign for services and Gordon drives in. Bryan realises too late what Gordon has done and drives past. Malcolm who is the one who needs to go into the services blindly follows Bryan. Gordon is bemused.
Cathryn asks Malcolm why Bryan would not have gone into the services.
Malcolm admits sheepishly 'OOPS I SUPOSE I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED TO BRYAN THAT I NEEDED TO GO INTO THE SERVICES'

I have noticed on this trip that I say sorry quite a lot.

Gordon has said I am to go to the baths tomorrow. I am a bit uneasy. I saw a guy on tv at a Turkish bath being twisted and stretched, bent double and punched stupid. Is this going to be Gordon's revenge?

Hi guys enjoying the posts.:thumb:

Has there been any discussions amongst you all regarding a return visit next winter?:Cool:
We would be very interested. However we are keen to know if any of the Brits have dogs with them who will be returning to the UK with said dogs under the Animal Passport Scheme.
As far as we are aware, Morocco is a none listed country according to the DEFRA web site and the wording for none listed countries is a bit confusing.

Has anybody got first hand experience please?

Well looks like weather finally broke here in El Jadida, nice and sunny.

Polar bear and ourselves seem to now be in the middle of the convoy with 7 vans down at Essouria, we leave today to met them down there and 3 vans who arrived here at El Jadida yesyerday afternoon.

No more motorways from this point on so a new adventure starts of using main roads :whatthe:

Sorry no-one in this group has a dog or cat with them. Plenty of the French have dogs though

Cheers Malcolm :thumb: - sounds promising, but seems we wouldnt know for sure until we had seen a vet prior to embarkation at which ever port we used back to Blighty. Will have to check with our vet over here first.

Am so pleased the trip is going well for you all and as I hoped you are all doing your own thing, but with the security of others close-by. This by far is the best way to travel a strange country so as each individual can see what they are interested in without feeling they are being led on an organised tour. I am sure that most of you will return to Morocco in the future and that you will all have made lifelong friends. Good luck with the rest of the trip and I am sure the weather will improve. Although I am not there to share your new experiences, through your posts I do feel as though am part of it. If I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

When passing through the police checks make sure they wave you through, one of us was fined for not stopping.

Noted, but when this old crate gets to one of those checks they all come running over to give us a push so as not to block the roadway:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

A new day dawns

Overnight rain and we woke to an overcast sky. The sun is now banishing the clouds to a far off place and the van is coming alive with those expansion crack noises as it takes on the suns rays - wonderful. ::bigsmile:

Bryan has driven off to try and get his water pump fixed. The site manager was able to give clear directions to a mechanic technical, specialist in all things caravans.

Last night we ate out at a fish restaurant in the biggest street market I have ever seen - fantastic atmosphere. Walking back along a barely lit side street we passed a bakery and watched the guy sitting on the floor, putting the dough into the oven and pulling out the cooked bread. we bought 2 loaves for 1 drm each. It was 10.30 at night. The bread looks like a Stotty or Oven Bottom Cake.

Looking forward to a proper shower this morning. Gordon found out yesterday that we can use the bungalow showers. Got to be a bargain at only 5 Drm

The car park near the port at Essouria is a bit off putting when you arrive and see how they cram them in.. But in true funster style we are taking in the experience, the parking is just so handy for the town !! only a 100mtrs away and your in the start of it all.. Was handy for staggering back last night as welll..:thumb:

The shouks and backstreets are great to wander and we are getting no hassles off anyone to buy anything.. Just some friendly banter now and then.
Seen in a bar today bottle of whisky. 1000dh. = £80 !!!

When we were there I had a really good leather coat made to measure in 24 hours, amazing value £70, there was also a place you can get seats recovered really good value. So much to explore.

The beach at Tagazout is now OK for wilding I hear. Go past Atlantica park and its on your right about 5 minutes drive. You cant miss it.
All beaches past Agadir are OK and you will see vans parked up on them.
If you mean Zagora and not Zahora, which is in the opposite direction and involves a ferry crossing then there is a great campsite in the village at 1 euro per day. Go across the football pitch and its in an oasis.

They certainly do. This would not suit a whole lot of FUNsters. A lot are not that adventurous/desperate for winter sun.

You'd feel the shockwave if someone farts in the next van.

On the rainy road to Essaouira

Unbelievable.

It's an absolute certainty, you go to Morocco for warm sun.

Are you sure you lot haven't taken a wrong turning.

You know, a wicked thought has just struck me, a certain person promised The Promised Land. You are there thinking about politicians' promises and where is this certain person !!

Questions need to be asked.

Big big thank you to Malcolm Bolt for assistance when our habitation water pump packed up and as I had no idea where the pump was located I asked others for their opinion and Malcolm stepped up to the plate and in no time at all ........... destroyed the inside of the van.:ROFLMAO: But he found it under drivers seat, Many thanks Malcolm, top man:thumb:

Have a look and see what he did to our MH.
