Lovely photos Andy, thanks for posting. Reminds me of what I am missing(y) love the Cullen skink had a good one last week in Melrose. I usually bring some Stornaway Black Pudding back if I go north of the border. It freezes well.

The thought of a steaming bowl of Cullen Skink is making my mouth water.
We're planning to visit Scotland in May - looking forward to all the great food treats. Haggis is my favourite !

I dont mind haggis either .... Nice stuffed in pocket in a chicken breast with the black pudding then wrapped in smoked bacon or Parma Ham. Personally don't really get the white pudding though!

On and off for many years.
And neither of you thought to give us a shout for a free stop over!

South Queensferry is lovely, we have gone out into the Firth of Forth in kayaks from Port Edgar.

We visit Findochty most years, family in Buckie along the road. Quaint campsite there tucked in behind the pub.

Great pictures. If you didn't know what was going on the first one could be a still from a remake of the War of the Worlds!

Well it appears that a few of you have had the Cullen skink ...It was my first time but did have some fish chowder which a fellow traveller was kind enough to share at St Andrews. . Both dishes were lovely...
I'll add the photo of the A9 road home... and no comments about the filthy windscreen
And another beautiful stop over is Elie.. no shot of that..but a picture of the unusual toilets in the ship Inn in the village ...The ladies was just as novel ... don't ask lol...

A9 homeward bound

Missed you, we are just back from Melrose today, I'm slowly tasting all the treats from the butchers just outside the park, we had venison and haggis slices this time. I find people smile and say hello when passing it's maybe because my grandmother's family lived there in days gone by and I have a certain look.:D

Elie is lovely. Did you find any rubies on the beach?
It is a beautiful stop over helen... The car park looks out over ruby bay and there good walking to be had...
In summer there are all sorts of hire facilities in the harbour for water sports including your favourite ....kayaking.
The toilets in the car park were shut down ie no water but are available in summer with a radar key..
I'll be back one day (y)

We stayed at Forth House and cycled down. It's one of the many places I'd go back to. I love beach combing for minerals and found a few bits of poor quality sea polished citrine when we were at North Tolsta (Lewis)
