More foul weather and power cuts Costa Blanca (1 Viewer)

Morning all,

Foul weather here again in Costa Blanca!.

Had no electricity for 20 hours. Had a bad year last year with fire and floods. This year we have snow for the first time in 34 years and now these storms. Thats winter I guess.

Anyone else this way?

As much as i like Spain in winter, This year I am glad to be home sat by my woodburner
Hate the cold since my heart problems..

Wife came back from Benidorm last Sunday, warm but cool wind she said. Just missed all this horrible stuff..

Lots of Funsters in Costa Blanca but like always they will face it with determination, just more visits to the bar.

It's made for a very long weekend. Hopefully things will get back to normal next week. Please!

Lekky was going off and on last night at Mediterraneo, Calpe, quicker than I could get up and change the 'fridge to gas.

In the end we unplugged the microwave, (it bleeps every time it goes on and off) and put the fridge onto gas for the night.

I am about to fit a new alarm.

The old one is wired direct to the mains and not via a breaker (don't ask).

I was up and down like a yo-yo last night as every time they tried to restore the power, it triggered the very LOUD alarm.

Between 2-4 am, I think I got out of bed in the cold and re-set the alarm upwards of 20 time. At one point, as I was walking back to bed. the power went off as I was walking back, after forgetting the torch. Then, came back on again ! Oh Please!.

I would hate to be blind!

Weather pretty bad here in the Algarve too...

I think that is a cloud forming over there in the distance.

It's a bit breezy here in Totana, but sunny. Forecast is to get better.

Our friends in Adsubia have been without power, but we are fine on the Arenal, a bit of wind damage but that's all.

Yes it came past us as well the next day
