Hi all,

I am deliberating buying a moped for when we go for long jaunts in the future and wondered if anyone had any tips for what type of carrying rack to go for? I'm in an Autotrail Serrano TIA.

Before you go to any expense I'd do some calculations to see if it is feasibleđź‘Ť

As rb62 says.. Check that rear axle weight as easily overloaded.
Another factor may be that the Serrano as far as i know has chassis extensions and there could be a limit to the maximum downforce you can add. You should have a Certificate of Conformity COC and it could be stated on there, it was on my Apache 700.

A 100kg bike does not just add 100kg to the axle but a percentage more due to the cantilever effect.

We've got an Easylifter scooter rack for sale if it's of interest and also a Honda Vision scooter. PM me if you would like any details.
