Mooveo C6 2010

I'm New!
Hi Everyone,

We are entering into the world of Motorhomes and are Currently looking at a Mooveo C6 2010.

Just trying to understand payload.

I’ve uncovered the original brochure here

What’s unclear is it it refers to unladen weight - 2985kgs

However at the bottom in the “notes” it appears to use Unladen and Kerb weight interchangeably and says kerb weight includes driver/fuel etc.

Can anyone with some experience guess weather the 2885 would include the items listed at the bottom.

It’s would seem odd for it go through Kerb weight but not give/refer to a figure.

But reading up on payloads it wouldn’t supprise me.

Unfortunately blessed by youth and can’t drive over 3.5t.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry typo above should say 2985kgs the second time as well.

The only real way of knowing would be to have the motorhome weighed as it may have had various accessories added over the years.

Thanks, this is just to get an idea at this point. It’s only had an Awning added from stock.

Interestingly the line

unladen weight / masse im fahrbereiten Zustand / peso a vuoto (kgs)

The German translates to - Mass In Running Order

Which adds to the mixed messaging!

MIRO includes driver at 75kg, 20lt water, 90% fuel and 1 x 11 kg aluminium gas bottle. That the standard EU definition but not all manufacturers keep to it, most German manufacturers do.

Also the MIRO is always given on the basic weight does not include the basic packs that you often can't buy the van without. So you need to add the weight of every option & extra that has been fitted e. g. 2nd battery, awning, oven, larger fridge, spare wheel etc. Also there is a 5% tolerancend most manufacturers use this to make the payload look more than it is.

It's a minefield only way to be sure is get the van on a weighbridge also need to check the axle weights. 3.5t vans on the light chassis normally only have a 2000kg limit on the rear axle which can be tight when fully loaded.
Very difficult to run most vans over 6.5m at 3.5t legally.

Much more choice if you take your C1 test.

If there is just 2 of you you can just get away with 500 kg of payload, I prefer to work with 700kg min.

So taking all the above on board, it’s still not clear what the actual catalogue says. Is it 2985kg as a true Unladen Weight (as writen in English) which is no driver/fuel/water/gas

Or

Is the 2985kg a MIRO as written in German which actually according to the small print includes a very generous 90% full water tank as well as 90% fuel, gas bottle and 75kg driver (I wish I was 75kg 😂)

Each results in a very different payload.

Hello. I had a Mooveo c647 and I can confirm that the unladen weight was calculated on 90% fuel, 1 x 11kg gas cylinder @ 90% and 20l of water. Driver nor optional extras was not included. The payload was stated at 550kg and this was anything over and above the stated unladen weight identified above.
So if you are lucky enough to be a svelte 75kg you would have 475kg left for the wife, beer and other essentials.
I can tell you from experience that it is very easy to get to the MTPLM especially with two 11kg gas bottles, twin leisure batteries and 250w of solar. However we packed light and loved that van - really well built with no rattles.
Happy travels.
