We are currently staying at the recently opened aire here. Gated entry and a right palaver to get in. You buy an access card for the relevant number of days and then have to wave it at a scanner for the barrier to open. Took about ten minutes to figure it out only for it not to work. Wife had to phone the number on the board for help. Have just watched three French motorhome leave and two of them had trouble getting out. Probably due to them overstaying their time and having to buy some more.

A nice site though but long electric cable needed on some pitches. Services and 6A electric included. Variable weather and very windy.

We were there last week, for a couple of nights. We like the aires run by Camping Car Parks - nice and clean and well laid-out. Montrichard was particularly good for us because of the back gate leading onto the river bank, making it good for dog walking. A nice walk along the bank into town, too.

We stayed on another Camping Car Parks aire at Millau, and had our induction to the entry system, having already watched someone else drive away in despair at ever being able to get in. The company definitely needs to do something about its system. It's easy enough once you get the hang of it, but we saw so many people having problems.

We'll definitely keep our eyes open for these aires in future, although I know that some people avoid them because, at 10 Euros per night, they're perceived as being expensive.

I think we get spoilt in France with so many free Aires, which have been the majority we have stayed at this trip. Back in the UK we'd jump at the chance for a CS site for 10 euros a night.
