Hi all, whilst in France our reversing camera got rain in It. So bought a new one. It’s a Dometic Perfect View Cam 45 nav. As it came with a new cable and connectors having sorted out the old one. I would like to rig it as a rear view as opposed to the existing one as a reversing camera. But the Dometic monitors are very expensive from the picture of the connectors can anyone advise what monitor I could use please.

That's just standard composite video cabling. Black is ground, yellow is the composite video signal. I'm assuming 12v is power?

On a side note... On my previous van, I tried to make the reversing camera permanently on to a screen. First issue was that not all cameras can cope with being on all the time, so it overheated after an hour or so. Second issue was that a camera that was looking down at my rear bumper was useless in traffic. I couldn't see back that far and the angle was so wide that even cars a few metres back were tiny. I changed it for a dual view camera. The higher and narrower view was on a monitor all the time. The reversing view came on my radio's screen when I hit reverse... although I could have put both views through the monitor.

Thank you for your reply, the cables are red + black - yellow to be connected to the live if the picture is reversed. I had the same camera on my last van permanently on as a rear view mirror. And the red and yellow plugs are picture and audio
