I'm looking at possibly getting one of these, does anyone have one and if so what is your opinion.

I believe it comes with 3 currencies, £, € and Romanian leu (not that I'll need it!).

Was that not one of the banks Rip Off Britain gave a bit of a slating to recently in respect of customer service?

I'll dig out my leftover Romanian Lei and have them to hand just in case for you!(y)

There are quite a number of these banks offering a UK/Pound account with a Euro (and /or Dollar plus other currencies) account on the side.

You transfer your pounds to your Euro account before you leave and therefore you get that rate.
(I just wish i had transferred more pounds to Euros when the rate was 1.21 !!)

It's worth spending time looking into which one suits you best, we went with Starling, as they were top of the pile at the time, but others prefer Revolut, Mondzo, Wise, Fair FX and others
Which Report here, but does not cover even half the options.

Rip off Britain give slatings to loads of companies etc, if we avoided them all we'd have few left!

Thanks I'm aware of the others and already have Chase current accounts and Revolut cards plus Santander for when we're in Spain but was just looking at this as well.

They are rated but have some way to go and don’t really offer any benefit over Revolut who are well proven and respected.
