We are here at Moissac and the aire is spectacular. All services including electricity and proper pitches for 6€ /8€ per night depending on season. Out the back gate, there is the Canal du Midi and long walks on the towpath. Out the front gate is the Tarn river. Lovely town, interesting canal basin , an ancient abbey and interesting shops and cafés.
If you can be bothered you can read more about it on our blog, including our thoughts after driving down from the Somport Tunnel in the rain.

Happy Easter folks. May your chocolate fantasies be fulfilled in abundance.

Good choice - we loved Moissac too. Town is lovely as you say and the canal du midi. There is an aquaduct (? right word? where the canal goes on a bridge) just outside the town which is worth a stroll as well.

There is indeed. Walked there yesterday and again this afternoon. What a lovely spot.

In the town we bought some raisins that had been soaked in something (white wine I think) and then coated in chocolate. Seriously exquisite! They were local produce so probably made from Moissac grapes.

We stopped there back in September for one night and liked the aire so much we stopped again shortly afterwards.
It was all very new and smart with hook-up as well.
Lovely walk along the canal into town with it's lovely church.

Richard.

Oh yes most probably local as Moissac grapes are very famous, especially in this area.

EDIT: If you come back then it will give you the opportunity to come to my place , it's about 70kms away from Moissac, so little trip!

@Mags52 The invite goes for you as well of course!

Thanks @yodeli that sounds good. We've been to the Toulouse area the past couple of years to see the Toulouse Comedy Players () productions in May but sadly can't make it this year. Worth seeing though if you like live theatre & comedy.
Love that area - went to their performance at Castelnau-de-Montmiral last year, beautiful village :)
