I forgot to mention we bought a memory foam topper it made a bit of difference, perhaps I need either a firmer topper all go the whole hog and get a different mattress.

go the whole hog and fit a pocket sprung mattress .. (y)

Our Hymer also has two single pocket sprung mattress across the garage making a double bed, and there is no valley or 'roll together' .. it's as good, if not better than our expensive Vi Sprung mattress on our bed at home.

I'm a newbie
We took out the 2 mattresses in our Cheyenne and replaced with a double memory foam.......was vacuum packed when put in, not sure if it will come out tho......
Also gives us storage space at the end, just right for 3 plastic storage boxes.
Much better than the originals with a foam topper.

Bazzermc I thought about doing the same and realized that a normal double would be short, as you say it leaves room for a bit more storage.
