The only problem with our 7m chausson is that the drop down bed is a little high and would be a faff is you want a afternoon kip . Also it’s not so easy for the mrs to get up for her early morning wee.

So with a absolute maximum of 7.5 metres what models would have a permanent island double . A decent garage , and possibly a separate shower and toilet . Other factors - diesel heated , preferably lounge seats running front to back . A few years old or new .

From my research on these factors alone, combining an island bed over a garage and separate shower and toilet seems to take one to 8-8.5m.

Challenger (cheaper Chausson) do a island bed with cut-away corners at the foot, but not with a proper garage.

If you do find what you are looking for let me know. We do not require the separate shower/loo but there seem to be none available without.

You can get 7m and 7.5m Carthagos with island beds and separate showers/toilets. You can also opt to omit the drop down bed and have handy cupboards instead.

Check out Rapido. We have an island bed over a garage and are very happy with the build quality and after sales support. it is 7.49 metres long but if you look at an A class make sure it on the heavy chassis. They don't work at 3500 Kg.
