Hi everyone's I'm really hoping someone can help me?
We have the Mobilsat satellite system on our motorhome when I powered up the satellite dish all it kept doing was searching for a satellite but never locked on to Astra2.

When we first got the motorhome a year ago everything was working, I have contacted Mobiltech in Italy about my troubles. Prior to contacting them I was advised by a motorhome dealer, who used to insall this system, that i would need to update the control unit.

Mobiltech told me that I would need more than an update as the satillite DVB2 had changed.

So now I have bought a new control unit and a new LNB, i was told that it was plug and play and easy to install and no configuration was needed. And it was a case of just plugging in the new control unit, which I did quite effortlessly.

Anyway, I am still having no luck as the dish just keeps turning round searching with no connection to the satillite. I am desperately trying to find someone who specialises in leisure satellite systems who might be able to help me get this thing working.

I'm situated near York and cannot find anyone to help me in this area.
Is there somebody on here who has experience with these systems that can help me?

Mobiltech seem to think I might have a problem with some wiring which could be stopping the dish from connecting to the satellite.

Hi have you got it sorted out yet, I have just removed my mobilsat sat dish , and got one of the new mobilsat , did you make sure the LMB was set at about 35 moms on the clock if that makes sense, had the same problem as you with the old dish

Hi there, no still havimg.problems I'm afraid, someone who used to deal with Mobilsat was going to come.out and have a look.

I've been trying to contact him recently but now he doesn't reply. I'm getting a bit fed up with it all really, can't seem to get any one to help

I was told by the engineer that because I have a new control unit that the dish would have to be tuned into the new frequencies, that is something I don't have a clue about.

When I got the new LNB I just replaced the old one with the new one. Mobiltech don't seem to want to help now they have my money for the new control box and LNB.
With them being in Italy it isn't that straight forward trying to resolve the problem.
Thanks for your interest, ill keep you posted how I get on could be a new sat dish yet

I’m coming to the same conclusion since Miriad UK finished with mobilsat, there is nobody that knows anything about the product in the UK. The company that’s taken over sells at all the Motorhome shows (Seaflow) but Arthur admits they know nothing about satellites, so not good enough, I am having problems with the new dish, and spending hours emailing back And forward to Italy, they won’t speak to me direct, getting close to asking for a refund frustrated

Having exact same problems with my new Mobilsat also . Box and Lnb have been back to Italy and checked but it seems they only check it on Hotbird and not Astra spoken to seaflo who we brought it from but they don't seem to be able to help just want to send it back to Italy again would be interested if you manage to get yours sorted or got a refund

Hi/ Harry Italians not very helpful they just sent me a update for fine tuning but the main issue is is it’s not finding Astra from start up I have to wait till it stops then do a fine adjustment to get a good signal, interesting to here you’re also having problems , Arthur told me no one else was having problems

Mike are you sure the Lnb cable witch is very fine is no damaged inside the dish because my old dish had the same problem, if possible can you PM me so I can talk to you in private, John

Hi chipy thats funny adam told me no one else had a problem. I have noticed that my orignal LNB cable is loose on its connection and did buy a twin LNB kit
the cable that came with it is a much better fit.Still trying to get system to work though. Will advise if i get a fix

Harry when it stopped scanning does it say Astra 2 found if it does and there’s no signal try pressing the Center of the screen and hold it for 4or 5 seconds and see if it finds it then, that’s a fine scan , also try setting it to all areas. Not just Northern Europe

Harry I Spock to Arthur at Seaflow this week as the cable to the control unit snapped on my Mobilsat, told him what you had said about yours being sent back to Italy and he said he knows nothing about one sent back, what’s the name of the guy you dealt with at Seaflow,
