Mobile to Wi-Fi Laptop internet (1 Viewer)

Hi all...i have a Nokia phone on Three network with free internet allowance,could anyone enlighten me as to how i can use this via my laptop ?? Thanks in advance.

I just might be able to help...

I have a Nokia phone too. You need to have loaded Nokia PC Suite on your laptop (came with my phone or free to download from the internet). Then you follow the instructions to set up a link with your phone... (I use bluetooth but apparently it is quicker by cable) Once set up I just open the PC Suite, click on "Connect to internet" and that's it...

A word of warning though... are you on a 3 contract? Vodafone charged me extra when using my phone as a modem even though I had unlimited internet use ON THE PHONE. Using the phone as a modem didn't count according to them. That is why I am now with T-Mobile in the UK... nearly half the cost and twice the service.

Sorry if this is a hijack.

JJ, You have a Nokia phone, downlod software from tinternet. Plug a lead into the phone and the other end into the lappy. Click on Connect to Tinternet and off you go. Your using you phone as a dongle. Is that more or less it.

What are the costs involved on the phone.?

I believe the price will be huge if you haven't got the right mobile phone package...

If your phone and laptop have bluetooth you don't even need the cable...

Of course you must have a Nokia phone that can connect to the internet...

The other thing you could try is a 3 network dongle. Just put your sim card in the dongle and connect up tinternet.:thumb:

I have an Orange PayGo mobile phone and also a Orange PayGo Dongle, do you know whether I can put my phone sim into the Dongle for internet use?
