I’ve just used the socket tester to check for reverse polarity and it’s illuminating the two outside lights, I’ve not seen this before and it’s not shown on the guide printed on the plug. Can anyone shed some light please?
The tester seems to be operating correctly (showing three lights) when I use my reverse polarity adapter cable.

You wouldn't be using a portable generator, one without a bond between neutral and earth, would you?

I see from the flag on your avatar that you are in Spain. You're not at San Lucar de Barrameda by any chance?

Hi, no we are in Nerja and I’m not using a genny. I’m connected to the site‘s electric with three others on the same post, four being the maximum per post. The campsite is full so I’m guessing their electrical system is overloaded at the moment.

The two outside lights means the supply wires are not related to the Earth in the usual way. Normally one of the supply wires is tied to earth, and is called a neutral. In this case, neither supply wire is tied to earth, and they are both live compared to earth. Your electric devices should still function as normal. It's not a fault, it's a design choice. Provided your MH has an RCD at the incoming box, there's very little to worry about.

So I guess I’m fine once I use the reverse polarity adapter? When that’s in place I get the three lights up on the tester that means the polarity is correct. I was questioning why I had the two outside lights on (with the middle one off), as this is not shown on the plugs guide.

I must admit I don't know why you get the three lights when you fit the reverse polarity adaptor, if what I said about the two outside lights is correct. But as long as you have an RCD protecting you, you'll be OK.
