A GENERATOR!

:D It's a great Genny, it really is, I would love it as an upgrade to my old 20i. But these days, such noisy, heavy, smelly beasts are only an essential accessory for a tiny number of real off-gridders. I'm struggling to see how a genny can be the accessory of the month.

They say....

  • Suitable for small jobs like charging phones and laptops... :roflmto::roflmto:
  • Quote: It weighs 24.2kg so is lightweight and portable... :pinocchio::D

A worthy winner of the monthly accolade? That they have a competition to win one is probably just a happy coincidence. :D

Next months winner will be a portable iron cobblers shoe last or a hand operated/12volt mangle or a soldering iron you heat up in the fire or something else from before the war.........

But Jim, it is a magazine! Lets look at the benefits of a magazine!

  1. Printed on cut down trees
  2. Printed using electricity
  3. Printed using Ink
  4. At least three months out of date, guaranteed last months news
  5. Written by old people on their 2nd "career"
  6. Dictated to by advertisers
  7. Owned by worried business's desperately seeing their 100 year old family business disappear on "their" watch
No wonder they think that generators are great! Magazines are from the dark ages

And pray tell what is wrong with my favourite magazine?

It's true you hardly ever see discarded top shelf magazines on the roadside from lorry drivers these days.

They can watch it on their tablets while driving:)
