Have a problem with gas on Mirage 5000. Smell of gas in locker when switched to fixed gas tank. I have someone coming roun d on Thursday to have a look but I suspect that there may be a leak somewhere on the fixed tank side as seems OK if switched to gas bottle.

The actual gas tank is quite rusty and I suspect that on Thursday I will be told that tank is not fit for purpose.

There is room for two bottles in the storage locker so not an absolute problem as could simply utilise this option.

However, I do like having the fixed gas tank and was wondering if there is way I could get the tank fixed/replaced? I am almost certain that it wouldn't be possible to buy a replacement tank but was wondering if this is something that I could get fabfricated?

you cant get them fabricated but the usual suspects should be able to replace you dont have a location in your profile if you say where you are someone will know

engelside I would have word with these guys, they have done many refillable & underslung tanks for us Funsters, they are warmly recommended, and you can stay overnight before & after the work/testing is carried out. There is even a 10% discount code on the link below, worth a run up to Thirsk that's for sure, the know their stuff and supply everything to do with LPG installs inc regulators. They will measure the underside of your van, checkout ground clearance, and discuss your options to help you decide.
