Due to the success of the inaugural Highland Gathering in July, and knowing that some people were unable to make it, we have decided to hold a mini meet the weekend of 28th August. Again it will be a true "gathering of the clans" open to 6 forums

Are you travelling in the north of Scotland the weekend of 28th August or do you live within reach of Inverness :?:
It's less than 2 weeks away ....... Please let me know if you can come.
It is VERY informal and the weather forecast is looking good (ref: www.metcheck.com). We have extended the dates tot 31st because a respected member of another forum is arriving here on 30th for a few days.

HI Margaret, We just sent you a message but dont know if you recieved it regarding your mini meet ,it was just to ask if we can we come to your meet. This will be the first time we have been in this motorhome or even driven it. and is it a child friendly meet, as we have a 5yr old little girl who would love to come if the is other kids to play with. and is there a post code for the sat/nav if we can come bye for know Alan & bobbie:thanks2:

Brilliant Brin !

Thank you so much to Margaret and Angus for thie warm but wet welcome to thier fantastic part of Scotland.

Arrived late on Friday but met in person and guided in to the field, welcoming drinks and a good chat had us rested for a peacefull night.:thumb:

Saturday arrived bright and set off to wander the area met with Margaret and Angus who had set up the Schoolroom, with Margaret having baked bread and cakes, too soon after breakfast:Blush: but prommised to be back, had a lovely lunch!

"Chillaxed" for the afternoon and met with others who joined the merry band.

Rain dampened things a bt in the PM but the BBQ being lit by Angus we all joined in and cooked up a veritable storm

Company great a good few laughs had by all we retired to a stormy night, but rested well.

Sunday set off home, after bidding our farewells and a prommise to return:thumb:

Well recomended to stay, the best of a "Scottish Passion"

Thanks Hilary & Terry for your kind words. The meet still goes on although only 3 vans in the field last night (and ours was empty:Sad and a change over today with one coming and one going

We hope to get out somewhere on Tuesday (our weekend) to meet up with my sister who is touring the highlands, but will post some photos of the minimeet sometime soon.

Mini Meet ... Inverness

Well thats us home and the first day back to work and under the belt lol
Thought we should put up a post to say a BIG thank you to Margaret and Angus for the very warm welcome to their superb location.
We met some wonderfull people and had some great laughs, thanks to ALL the friendly fun folks who braved the weather to make its such a wonderful weekend
Let us not forget the home cooking ... wow ... those scones and the soup were to die for. My mouth is still watering at the thought ... yummy
Next time we are heading out that way we will be sure to drop you a line and pop in.
