Hi, have a 2018 AutoTrail Serrano, on the beautiful Fiat duccato 2.3 150bhp chassis. I’ve had TOADs before, both Smart Cars, but want something a little bigger. I’m looking at a Mini Cooper , at 1250kgs, it’s well within my towing capacity. Just wondering if anyone has towed a mini on an a frame, was it a good or bad experience.?

I’ve no experience but it’s interesting to see how much the Mini weighs . Most of the Toads I’ve seen are lower in weight . I am sure other members will add to this thread soon 👍🏻

At one stage I had a Smart for2 Cabrio and dragged her along on a trailer, the combined weigh was 1450kgs, and it pulled ok, had the natural theft of speed when hitting a hill. But the experience of towing a trailer, and an A frame on all fours is quite different.

Not a Mini but a similar weight, we tow a 1275kg Corsa with a 150bhp Ducato. Does the job well but as expected the steeper hills will drop the speed and a couple of gears

Thanks Robert, can I assume that's with using an A Frame ?
