I think we need to know what the ferry situation is before we set off.

People have been asked to make journeys only if they are necessary.

Travelling to and from islands to visit family is acceptable under Phase 2, but the minister said journeys for leisure and recreation were not being encouraged.

Yes, but Scottish Tourism is Hopefully set to open from 15th July ... leisure will then be encouraged. The issue will be ferry capacity as per @irnbru’s link above ...

Yes you are right 15th July as I said on my last post. There shouldn't be an issue with the ferry as we are vehicle passengers.

I guess you and I are more aware of the Lockdown phases in Scotland than funster folk over the border. I’m sure no offence was intended. I’d have to google to check I had things right if I were going into England.

I messaged Galloway Activity Centre yesterday to see if there is any possibility they will run Sam’s Dinghy instructor course (18-31July). It’s residential which I guess is one of the sticking points ... fingers crossed!! I did notice they were advertising for a cleaner for the holiday accommodation which had raised my hopes.

There's roughly another month to go until the rally, if the council agree we can go ahead and the ferry is running , we will be there, in the front of the queue. .

Sorry Sandra we'll have to withdraw. Family are moving in with us as both my daughter & partner have lost their jobs and they have to move out their flat in Glasgow. We'll be looking after 10 month old grandaughter while they look for jobs! Hope those that make it enjoy themselves! Next year!!

Just caught up with this meet, original dates we were supposed to be abroad, new dates are over the one weekend in July we have booked out and cannot be changed. So it's just not to be hope you all have a great, safe time . It's an ideal spot as post lockdown meet

Some of the scottish folk here might have heard there was a mention of Calmac maybe starting to take bookings for crossings. I've had a good look on the Calmac website and it seems our ferry route will be unaffected. I will keep my beady eye on it. I will post details of High/Low Tides nearer the time.
