5. 14 motorhomes in 14 years ......... really ? I realise it’s his money to waste / fritter away but it does suggest poor fiscal judgement but as the saying goes “ a wise man and his money are not easily parted “
It’s not something I would appear on TV to tell the nation.
I have had a number of motorhomes.

Actually lets work it out Lyn and I were in our twenties when we were lucky enough to buy our first motorhome new

1998 Autohomes Highwayman, lasted a few months back door bad idea.
Swift KonTiki too small

Gulf Stream Conquest RV loved it! 1st RV Man approached at a show and made me a silly offer!
Rexhall "Airex" RV Loved it 1st A class RV Man approached at a show and made me a silly offer!
Georgie Boy 30 RV Loved it! Roger at Midland International made me a silly offer to buy it!
Georgie Boy Royal 36' Roger at Midland International made me a silly offer to buy it!
Georgie Boy Royal+ 36' Loved the previous one, but had Midland had imported it with too few "options"

Benimar Aero for Van Bitz (still got it) Had it with no windows and the whole side opens up!
Benimar Europe Top Listened to wife! (Be nice to have a little van)
Benimar Europe Top (bespoke) Listened again, and was persuaded that if we had one "built" it would be better! Sold to a man at a show that made me a silly offer!

Globetrotter A8000 Forgot how much I love RV's and went to Dusseldorf!
Four Winds Conquest Remembered how much I love RV's bought a crap one! Disaster!
Winnebago Mini Winnie Ordered a "proper one"
Gulf Stream Sun Voyager Fancied a A Class again!
Thor Windsport Fancied a smaller A Class

Like Alan, being in the motorhome industry there are financial advantages in owning a motorhome

I really didn't think I was going to like watching Million Pound Mega Motorhomes, but really enjoyed it.
The different charachters really made it for me, and I'd certainly pay Concierge Camping a visit if it wasn't fully booked for ages.
Looking forward to the next episode.

Watched the programme yesterday. I really didn't like the format - that silly/jokey talk-over all the way through and corny music, like it was aimed at kids. Most, if not all the £1m + motorhomes (or trailers) were in the US anyway so who gives a ? It's typical of Channel 5 they don't seem to be able to present anything seriously. And sounds like the Concierge Camping is for serious snobs only, so don't care if it's booked up for the next 10 years. My experience of motorhomers I've come across in the UK and abroad, is that they don't care how big , small, old or inexpensive your motorhome is they're happy to mix and chat with everyone else regardless.

I agree .
I think that whole sipping champagne with the Lord and Lady and “ only wanting to socialise with those of a similar social stature “ comments are really sad and cringe . Trying to make out he’s rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous for £60 a night camping 😂

Blimey they certainly know how to cream it, you pay all that money to say there then they find ways of charging you even more.
This one really upped my social standing Lenny, beautiful outdoor bathing, gold plated taps, gold plated towel/clothes rail.

£3 a night. Sir Paul she was calling me.

Thats my sort of price.
I remember when we had a trailer tent a CS in Kent 50p a night, had to chase the sheep & chickens out of the awning.

I know I shouldn't mention this, but...if any campsite owner, even a CL/CS owner wanted to attract people of
" A better social standing" having bought your personal plate for your new Motorhome, all you need to do is become a Lord & Lady.
Just fill out the forms as shown on link below, along with a cheque for £36.95 for a couple, and any Bob can be your peerage uncle.(y)
For those of you with million pound rigs, that feel the need to enhance your social standing still further, carry on, you will not be black balled by any on this forum, and who knows, you may even get an early cancellation for a pitch on Concierge Camping in Sussex....maybe:whistle2:
LES
Or maybe it could be, just £36.95 to make it happen.

Would I sound snobby if I suspected that they bought their titles when I saw them on TV? It is one thing to buy a title for a laugh but to use a bought title when on TV seems (n)

I think we all have to accept we all spend our own money on what we want and like, it does not make it wrong or right it’s personal preference, that’s what makes life interesting! 🙂
I totally agree. It’s just the whole attitude of that guy who seems to think the more you pay the more exclusive it will be ,with celebrity footballers pitching up on a regular basis 😂. We just booked 2 nights in Shrewsbury for £130 in the school holidays in April . I don’t expect to be seeing many A list celebs and premier league footballers walking around the site even though it is very expensive for 2 nights 😀. It was the attitude that the more you pay at a campsite the more exclusive( “posh “) it is , that amused me . I don’t think this Tv show did the campsite any good in terms of publicity .

Ive been in quite a few RV's over the years and quality definitely looks like its moved on.

I was surprised its got AGM's not Lithium but that generator is nuts, 4 cylinder 20KW! and 5 alternators

No underfloor heating?

And the usual RV problem, nowhere to carry a motorcycle or scooter, I realise they use trailers but you wouldnt want to do that all the time and even rich people like motorcycles.

I'm pretty sure I heard him say that it had underfloor heating. One wouldn't want noisy blowers going all the time, would one!

And I bet the owners still stock up at a budget supermarkets, rather than spend money in the local economy 🙂
And use Aires. I've seen a few mega motorhomes at Aires while travelling.

 all that coach and nowhere for your toys Jon, at least its customisable though so I am sure they could find you a locker for a monkey bike.

All a bit OTT but quite a bit of kit all the same, the best bit was the dishwasher "knock twice for open" looked nicely finished(y)

So nice to see an RV that hasn't got the typical dark wood interior everywhere that the Americans seem to prefer.
