Due to go over Millau Bridge next week can anyone tell me will the toll be taken on my Sanef toll tag or do I have to pay separately with bank card. Thanks in advance for your help.

Last time we went over in a 500kg van it was E15.60 each way , this was in August 2018 using Sanef toll tag

Hope this helps ,, happy travels

Not sure what the heart is , it should read <3500 kgs

A quick search of Google

Is visiting the Millau Viaduct suitable for children? Yes, the visitors' areas provide ... All payment methods are accepted, including E-toll pass tags.

We found crossing the Millau bridge rather disappointing 😞. Just another bit of motorway and you can't see over the barriers. Get off and see it from below, however and you'll be amazed.👍!

Couldnt agree more.
15 euros saves you about 15 minutes (through Millau) and not getting a decent view.

That roundabout underneath gets so jammed, you can be stuck right there for 15 mins!
Not the 3 or 4 times we have used it.
Even if it were then LIDLS is just round the corner ! ;)

JJ Jeffrey We love camping there and have been over it before but personally if anyone has not done it I would recommend going to the only viewpoint I am aware of that you can get a Motorhome into without deviating from the route. You get fantastic views if the whole gorge, Millau and the full span of the bridge, albeit from a distance.

My instructions for finding it : The parking area is on the East side of the road travelling south from the centre of Millau to rejoin the motorway. It is after the long climb walled section and just at a crux of the right hand bad bend in the road as you head uphill. I have accessed it from both directions in an 8m van but obviously easier if travelling north as it’s on your side if the road. If you walk towards the edge of the gorge from the end of the parking area and head further east on foot there are some lovely viewpoints along the way. I’ve sometimes, when travelling south, gone past it and turned around at a roundabout and then gone back for easier access.

I’ve attached screenshots from Google Earth so you can see it. I used to drive in then reveres back to the end of the parking area so no one could block me in, but that has always been in the busier summer times. I think it’s worth the detour via the town just for this viewpoint.

There is a free aire with a spectacular views at Compregnac, come off A75 before the tolls. Road down a bit tight and twisty but easy done with care
See search for sites
A dark sky site and great for astrophotography
Edit
I see it now has hight barriers. Oh well.
There is a pull in layby about 1/2 mile back up the road we went in on.
Says no services but there is a long drop loo

I’m a bit of a chicken when it comes to bridges, struggle going over the dartford bridge and will travel other way round M25 on occasions. So couldn’t bring myself to driving over but did stop under it a few weeks ago and it’s a pretty impressive structure.

We crossed it in summer of 2022 and paid using the sanef tag. No problem with delays or queues. Lovely place.

S I never go over it but be prepared if you are over 3.5t my mate got caught last week for class 3 cost him €34, he only has a single rear axle van and just over 3m high.
So what is the height limit for under 3.5?

Yes but prior to the bridge being built it took 6 hours to get through .that is why it was built to free up traffic flow, not for people to view it.
second reccomendation to go under if you cross it on the motorway you realy see nothing
If it is cloudy or foggy you still see nothing.

By the way, go under westward, along the north bank, is a campsite with the poshest marble clad toilet block I've ever been to. Mind you, I tend not to inhabit toilet blocks. It was about a decade or so back! so could have changed by now And just north of the bridge, make a left and drive to the Rodez area. Lovely drive. I digress.

Lovely cycling in and around Millau but the climb up to the viaduct that was a TDF stage, is a bit of a bugger.

If you've got time, well worth a visit to the visitor centre.

I remember going through there on my bike when they were building it....incredible feat of engineering, half built it looked as if it was a bridge to nowhere!!! Can't remember what year that was though
