In the middle of France, en route to Spain, just stopped for the night and put the van (3.5k killo pvc) on mini Milenco ramps.

Not used them much, but had been pleased - up to now - because they are compact to store and very lightweight (too lightweight??).

Parked up for an hour and noticed nearside one has deformed and almost collapsed.

Shame, because I've always been a fan of Milenco products.

Fortunately, got a pair of Milenco Triples on board that we've had for 10 years without problem - just a shame the small ones are so convenient. :(

Third image, damaged one!

Anybody else experienced similar with these ramps?

When we got our first motorhome in 2007 we had fiamma levellers  sunk in the ground and filled with mud.:Eeek:
So while in Germany in September 2007 we saw some that are strong and don't sink or fill with anything, our friends got some two years ago and very pleased with them, they sell them in Spain.

I'm just wearing my second bag out, but the levellers are perfect. Bob.

Is it exceptionally hot there at the moment?

Looks like it's melted?!
Agree, it does indeed look as if it's melted!

In fact, I think the temperature was around 20c - so not exactly hot...

Not fit for purpose me thinks. :cautious:

Interesting - many thanks for the heads-up. (y)

Are you overloaded, see thread on that!

I've got the same ones and ended up throwing one away. It came with the van and was already cracked in a few places. Doesn't look as sturdy as the others they do. Was going to get sone of the triples when i next need some

I had quattros for ten years used then a lot and no issues...just got some new tridents and first use the ridge between stages one and two has bent over. Saw a motorhome yesterday on triples but he was using them upside down so had a straight ramp !

Thanks for that - I hadn't checked back on the website

But as your screenshot clearly indicates, should be suitable for a van up to 5000kg. Ours is only 3,500kg! And certainly less than 2,500kg on the front axle.

Think I need to write to Milenco and send the image of our leveler and see what they say!

The first day we picked up our brand new van, we picked up a set of Milenco Quatro Levellers1569272693524.png like these below, used them the first time at The Peterborough Show on The Funsters pitch. The plastic triangles flattened on driving up and off them:eek:3850 van, less than 1800 KG on front axle.
They are bulky and very heavy, when new will take the skin off your knuckles taking them out the bag, so you have to be careful and remove all the sharp moulding edges with a stanley knife to make them safe.
All Milenco products I have seen and used are rubbish that goes for their ramps, wing mirror protectors, wind up caravan levellers and wheel clamps!
Normally find better quality in other makes like Fiama and the like.

To stop the Fiamma ones sinking into the ground I filled all the spaces underneath with expanding foam filler. You need to trim this stuff with a sharp blade before it sets too hard. It might even make the levelling blocks stronger.

This was a useful tip I found many years ago.

I’ve had Milenco that cracked pretty quickly, Fiamma, that lasted much longer but eventually started to crack and now we have Thule. They seem much better made

I’ve seen so many of the Millenco and Fiamma and Thule ramps split or broken.
The plastic used seems to brittle and I use these Fiamma jumbo ramps which are made of more forgiving plastic and they are not so open on the bottom.

I would send images to Millenco because it’s not could for them to buckle like that.

I can't see the Froli ones i have ever falling apart, reckon they'd stand a nuclear war.

As I said used these since September 2007, they sell them in Spain for 25,60 €, filling fiamma with expanding foam, you should not need to modify something that is obviously not fit for purpose. Bob

We had Milenco quatros with our 6 tonne MH. They didn't last long, crushed the hex moulding on points of curves and bent the first step using them on grass.
Also had Fiama level up before Milencos and broke them in short order.
Pretty much all the plastic ones are not up to the intended job, particularly for heavier MHs so I made some indestructible ally checker plate ones which are so far proving to be excellent on any surface.

Our Milenco Quatros get a hard life ( 5 1/4 ton van ), but at 8 years old they are still going strong !

Ours are like these, but just 3 levels. First time I used them they squished on one side. All the squared bits are bent over. They still work, but are not great. Effectively, all the different levels are now flattened out. The Fiamma (the yellow things) were useless, they just sunk into the ground, as someone mentioned. It's bizarre, it's simple thing to do, produce ramps that work. They don't.

Putting my head on the block here, you could go for air suspension and do away with the need for ramps...........no I do not have a full system, just on the back and the best thing I ever did it makes a tremendous difference to ride quality £250 off e bay for the rear and a two year warranty and a chassis upgrade for cheaper tax win win all round. only thing I have to do is pump it up with a big bike pump, no problem 10 pumps = 10 lbs pressure

Always interested in this. Find the suspension on the rear of the Ducato chassis - current van, pvc; and previous 2 coach-builts - very harsh, like a cart.

Does the air suspension make the ride any less harsh?
