ok heres the scenario my present desktop has a terrabyte haed drive ive been given a replacement desktop which has only 500 gig both have windows ten installed ideally i want the 1tb drive in the new machine niether machine has the space for a second drive whats the best method to change the drives migratring everything exept the os from one to the other?I do have an externall caddy and was thinking i could move photos and documents to the smaller drive then wipe the larger drive and do a disc image from smaller one to the larger? would this method keep th e new os intact?
