Anyone had experience of these new tyres yet? My front Michelin Agilis Camping tyres are almost worn and despite the ride quality and so much helpful advice on alternatives I want to look into these first . I need the three peaks symbol for regular trips to Germany. I can only find a few places that stock them and so far £205 eacho_Oo_O. But as the van is being a huge money pit at the moment I better keep spending! Thanks for any information.

Can’t help with them however you could try Continental van contactcamper.M+S and the 3peaks symbol used them here in the Highlands with good results.Similar price 225/75 R16CP 118 R

Found them to give quite a harsh ride and quite noisy. Someone told me to try regular van tyres instead of camper specific as they are less rigid. I got Continental Vancontact Eco @ £125 - Much better!

I put the older Cross Climate on the Autosleeper Warwick Duo I had last year-was impressed with them-but changed the van last September so can't give you any other information-think I paid £550 for 4 fitted from Quick Fit-only place I could get them.

Just been to tyre place and was told if you do high mileage ie 6000 miles a year of more don’t fit cross climate they wear out quickly

Thanks for the information everyone - very helpful. The present Michelin Camper specific tyres have a teflon grip on normal roads but that is probably me being less careful than I should. I am forever spinning the front wheels on starting off from junctions hence the wear. I am no expert but guess the tread pattern had to be changed in this new type of camper specific 4 season to meet the 3 peaks but also they must have changed the compound as well I guess to make them truly all season so was hoping they might grip more. Never thought that it might make them wear out faster anyway. Not sure how they have been able to do all that and keep the very tough sidewalls to prevent damage from long term heavy weight and standing around as a camper. I can wait a while to see how the first reviews look. Promobil, the German magazine has just done an all seasons test and doesn't mention the camper specific Michelins so beginning to think they must be very new on the market. Interestingly Vancontact 4 seasons wins that test.

I have Michelin agiliis cross climates fitted to the MH, I find them quiet, and a better ride than the last tyres, big plus from me 👍

If you want to know which tyre will give the best grip you need to know what the shure compound is it used to be on the tyre. You will probably need to contact the manufacturer.

Softer the compound better the grip but the quicker they wear out. Vicky Verki for the harder compound you have to balance this with the tread pattern. Dunlop were very good at explaining this when I rang them years ago.

Just thought that I’d post my experiences of these tyres after our first trip out since having them fitted. They replaced the Michelin Agilis Camper tyres which were on the van when we bought it in 2015.
I have to say that with the front tyres at 65 p.s.i. and the rears at 79 p.s.i. the rides seemed a lot softer and more quiet than the previous tyres. Although we only had a return trip to Filey (about one hour each way) I feel it was far enough to form an opinion. On smooth roads, like the A64 dual carriage way, they were almost as smooth as on a French péage. Sure-footed on the little roads so all in all, I’m quite pleased with them.

Thanks for sharing this. When I first posted I hadn't realised quite how recently they had come on the market. Great to hear they feel a little softer and I run my existing camper tyres at about your pressures so looking forward to good things. Will go ahead and get them fitted.

I might be wrong but as far as the Michelin website indicates , they only do a Camping Cross Climate on a 16" rim currently.

I need 6 tyres for our van, although we've only had 4 years, it had been sat at the dealers for 18 months before, so 5-6 yr old tyres, only 14,000 miles, but have cracks on the sidewalls, so looking to change all 6 now.

Looking at Cross climate CP need 225 75 16 can get for about £190 each at Costco (6x£190! ouch) any recommendations for anywhere cheaper and in stock?

I've put Davanti DX440 tyres on mine. They are quieter than the Continental camping tyres they replaced are M&S rated and are 121/120R rated do ideal for heavier axle weights. My Ducato maxi could now have the rear axle up plated.

We have just went for Falken all season tyres £525 for 4
Were running continentals before
No difference in tyre noise or performance that I can notice
Not concerned about any possible extra ware as we usually change due to age before they are short of tread. We have run previous van on winters all year around without problems.
Not been in any wet fields or snow since fitting
Sorry no idea what the Michelin ones are like as I have not had Michelin on any vehicle for many years

Hi, we've just had the new crossclimate campers fitted, £775 15" wheels, from Black Circle including fitting at a local tyre place ( they deliver to the tyre fitter you choose). Haven't gone any distance with them yet but just the drive home seemed much better than the previous agilis cp tyres which were a very hard ride. Oops just remembered there was a 15% discount deal when I ordered so obviously would be more now

Sorry, posted twice , not posted before!

We found the same as Stinkie in post number #24. We find the ride quieter, less hard and the roadholding in both dry and wet to better than the Michelin Agilis Camper they replaced.

.........I am forever spinning the front wheels on starting off from junctions hence the wear......
I think I would check the front to rear axle weight distibrution before blaming the tyres.

I forgot to say that was for 5 tyres (including spare) .

Just had a quote from local tyre fitter for Michelin cross climate camping at £270 each!!! Black Circles brings that down to £234 each, anyone know if there are any discount codes around to help ease the pain?
