I've just ordered 4x15"Michelin Camper tyres from Costco on line. The total fitted with discount if you paid today was a total of £405.54.
Fitting them Saturday before our continental trip next Tuesday. I thought it might be useful if yourself looking for new tyres.

I have just looked at Costco on line and they don't have Michelin camper tyres in 215/70 15, only the standard van tyre. What size have you bought? I am not a member, but could be, and it might just be worth the cost for this offer alone, especially with the extra £60off for 4 tyres. Otherwise, it's Kwik fit that seem to have the best price but my nearest two places can't accommodate a camper

They are 225/70 on my 2012 Ducato

Confirmation from Costco.

Could be worth joining if only for their meat products - It's all first class, including their bacon.

Apologies for cutting in here , but have been thinking of joining Costco for a time now after visiting one of their outlets with a friend who has an account with them . We bought a pack of their own brand (kirkland) microfibre towels , as recommended on here by @Charlie , and they have proven as he said , to be very good quality at a fair price.

Membership now looks to be on the cards for us . One question ..... If buying tyres from Costco, do they have their own fitting centres , or is it farmed out to local companies ?

I was going to join but are nearest store is Bristol so you have to be getting a good deal to make the journey worth while.

Obviously not traveling for the tyres thoughts I guess that would be a local fit.

So far we've had a good experience with them, we managed to buy them for motorhome (2 years ago) and our car (last year) and each time had a very good price, plus Michelin also gave a £25 Costco voucher. Reading branch has its own tyre fitting department, the guys who fitted them were brilliant. All done whilst we shopped.

Sheffield also has it own fitting bay and I suspect they all have. They seem to specialise only in Michelin tyres.
I share my sons card and they dont seem to worry who is paying but they only take debit cards - NOT credit cards.

I have checked again and it comes up with zero results on 215/70 R15s in a camper tyre. Maybe they have sold out of my size or only stock the bigger ones.. Ah well. May join Costco anyway.

Sandie, why don't you give your local branch a call, I'm sure they will be keen for a new customer and I find I get on a lot better actually talking to someone. When I googled it looked as if the offer is on till 24th. :D

@sandy, I stand to be corrected on this one but you may find that your wheels will take a 225/70 x 15 tyre.
Just saying. Call in at any tyre fitting place and ask. You don't have to buy the tyres there:whistle:

Thanks, everyone, especially Stealaway, for the original Costco suggestion. It seems that they do, after all, have 215/70s in stock, so I went to my local branch this morning (Derby, about 15 miles away but en route to my Mum's). I checked at the tyre fitting section, (which is huge, and would easily accommodate my van), that they could definately get them. I went in the store and registered and paid for my membership at £33.60. I had previously checked that I qualified, due to my previous employment, for which I had evidence. Got membership card, out to the tyre bay and ordered 4 tyres costing £410.35. including fitting and with the special offer of £60 for 4 tyres. Elapsed time, less than 20 minutes.
So, even with the membership, this was a total of £443.95, still £32 cheaper than the next cheapest (Kwikfit) who weren't sure how high their fitting bay doors were and were also in Derby. They expect to have them in the store early next week. Result! And now I also have Costco membership. I am not much of a consumer, so don't expect to spend much in the warehouse, but they have a fuel station at the Derby branch (members only) currently selling diesel and petrol at £112.9/l.

I also need new tyres and wanted Michelin campers, considered Costco but nearest branch is in Bristol so a bit too far. Have ordered from Kwik Fit, but made order through Quidco and got an extra 3% off. (y)
So using Sandi's maths above: 3% off price was about £16 leaving an extra cost of £16 but a round trip of between 80 and 90 miles would have cost more than £16 in fuel, so overall I am quite happy.

You tend to have buy bulk but we often share it up with friends and family. All their meat is particularly good.
