Have a cousin who's last child is just about to fly the nest. She intends to rent her 3 bedroom house on a long term let and start full timing on her own.

She has travelled with us in our 1992 Hymer S 670 and feels that a MH of that size is too big for her, she likes the idea of something a little more nimble although not a panel van conversion.

She will be very happy with a single bed but on certain days she wouldn't be able to get into an over cab bed due to occasional hip problems. This of course leaves either a fixed bed or an easily made up bed.

We have only ever owned MH's of 6.7m or longer so don't have any recommendations on more compact models. I think her budget will go to about £15,000 max, she's looking for reliability as much as anything.

We have recommended she go for a German MH due to their generally better winter qualities.

A while back we had friends visit us in a Hymer B544 from the early 1990's and were very impressed with how spacious it was but of course the main bed is an over cab bed.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

everyone always forgets PVC's... you can get some quite nice fixed bed models now... a lot of them are too new for the budget you mention but a rear lounge could work just as well...
