MH
Swift Sundance 636L
Exp
Since 2015
Hello, can anyone tell me where I will find the MH number on my 2013 Swift Sundance?
Thanks in advance

Hi Emmit, apparently it's the MH identification number from the manufacturer (i.e. Swift) which it different from the VIN/Chassis no.
Reason I'm asking is I need a part from Swift and my dealer is saying I need the supply the MH number (MH followed by 5 digits) as well as the VIN.
I've searched but can't find anything. Frustrating to say the least!

Would it be on the converters weight plate? Usually under the bonnet or near the drivers door.

As the dealer is the only one who appears to know about this number.
Ask them where it is located, as a swift dealer they should know

You probably will need to go to swift directly for that part . I’ve had a look on a few websites but no luck with that particular part . Can it not be repaired ?

It's Swift who is asking for the MH no.
Thanks for looking, I've been at it for 2 weeks now with no luck - most dealers just aren't coming back to me.
Hopefully the one in Harrogate which I'm talking to now will come good.
Thanks for the response

Do they mean the number after the Sundance. The model as in 624fb or 532lp as here

No, it's a unique identification number similar to the VIN. It reads MH12345 (as an example) that the motorhome manufacturer gives it.
I've not noticed it on any motorhome before, but also not looking for it!

Its could be the build number but that comes with the motorhome when new. Is it with the paperwork when you bought it.

I've got a build number for my Auto-Sleeper. It is on the original Manufacturer Declaration paperwork when new (which I now have as 2nd owner) and I have a photo too which I took of the sticker with the same info in the glove box; either on the dash or under on the passenger side, can't recall which and photos don't help with a location.

It's Swift who is asking for the MH no.

No, it isn't Swift asking... Its your Swift dealer.
Big difference. Contact Swift directly and bypass the monkey.

It’s the Swift portal that the dealers use that is asking, so yes it is Swift that are asking as the VIN isn’t enough for them to identify the MH.
It takes Swift 7-10 days to respond, that was my first port of call but thought I’d ask for advice on here in the meantime.

Been polishing the cab between showers/downpours and playing in the cab area, including working through the FIAT Vehicle Manual. Looked up the 'blipper' remote control and the Manual says to go to your FIAT Agent and be prepared to provide your vehicle number [no mention of VIN]. I found the original Burstner Card that has various build/conversion numbers recorded, so I hope it's one of those [all text is helpfully in German] ... So, it appears that both FIAT and the Van Convertors can both play Silly Bug*ers when dealing with Motorhome Owners!

The build number in the Autotrail van we had was in the locker where the fuse box /breakers are as in post 8, so might be worth looking there .

It will be the build number.
And as POH says usually inside somewhere on a self adhesive sticker.

All sorted now thanks folks. Swift were able to just use the VIN after all - who knows why they didn't just do that in the first place!!!

I have the same problem. Service engineer wanted the MH number on my 2019 Escape 685 to discuss ordering a spare part from Swift for me. Luckily I had the sales document with it on. It should be on a plate or label somewhere. Swift said there could be two; one in the cab somewhere and one in the habitation somewhere. Sargent (who also know the MH number because thats the reference that apears when I get frost alerts sent to my phone) said it might be behind a numberplate. These are bonded on. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere by accident at some time.
