I know it a bit how long is a piece of string question but look to book in to a site for a month and its metered electricity. So with just a few lights and a fridge what a ball park figure for electric use a day in kWh?

I agree with you Terry, over the years there has been quite a shift in the campsites in Europe to move over to a metered rate and I have seen first hand some shocked campers when they went to pay there monthly bill when overwintering in villasol campsite benidorm. I think some charge Campers a higher rate than they pay for it.For what you're intending to use I personally wouldn't bother with metered electric. The couple of times I have used it I felt that I had been ripped off.
However I do have 100w solar and two leisure batteries and tend not to stay in one place for very long.
Using ACSI campsites we get as much electric as we need included in the cost.
If you run the fridge off gas then mains usage will be negligible, 50p a day perhaps?I know it a bit how long is a piece of string question but look to book in to a site for a month and its metered electricity. Not all ACSI just come off Bonterra park who charge after 4kwh which is fine if you don't have everything on the leccie. For what you're intending to use I personally wouldn't bother with metered electric. The couple of times I have used it I felt that I had been ripped off.

Which is totally illegal if they do. What they can do though is charge any amount they want for the 'access' to the electricity.I think some charge Campers a higher rate than they pay for it.
Like you say then ! They can charge any amount they want for the 'access' to the electricity. Rip off done!Which is totally illegal if they do. What they can do though is charge any amount they want for the 'access' to the electricity.
The rate that they would pay would be far higher than the UK as the standing charges increase as the capacity in Kw you require as a supply increases. The rates per KW/h would also be higher.
We did stay at one site last year where leccy was metered, got a bit of a shock on the bill when leaving. If we stay there again (SWMBO wants to) we will just not plug in. If its sunny we don't need ehu.
