Mercedes Sprinter 616 Cdi - Odometer permanently illuminated (1 Viewer)

Normally when the ignition is turned off, the crescent shaped odometer, located bottom centre of the speedometer binnacle, and which displays the speedo reading, clock, trip meter etc remains illuminated for thirty seconds approx. Ours has decided to stay permanently lit. The only way I can get it to go out is to lift the wires off the engine starter battery. Does anybody have any ideas as to why the lamp is staying on please?

Happened to me, eventually ran engine battery flat! You have your fog lights on. Turn on the edition and lights and you will see.

Fun does it again...

Now you have stopped really annoying all those folk driving behind you at night...

Rarely drive at night. The front fogs and rear fogs are on the same rocker switch, with the off position being in mid point. Must have caught the switch inadvertently when removing the ignition key bunch me thinks.
