With the current cost of Diesel rising all the time I thought I might get some oil for my old Mercedes Hymer for its next service and was pleasantly surprised to see
Genuine Mercedes Benz SAE 5/40 Full Synthetic part no A000989210713. for £39.90 for 10 litres delivered . ( just gone up to £42 but still a bargain )

Hi,
We have a Mercedes Hymer 680 2001 'Y' reg with a broken rear wheel leaf spring. Finding it very difficult to source a spare. Is there any advice out there please?

Try Midland Motor Springs at Nottingham or Midland Road Springs near Coleshill.

Sorry but I can’t help with the problem, but I’ve got the 680 Y plate, my rear springs were squeaking a lot, got underneath and had a look, cured it by forcing the leaves open and inserting a cut up old inner tube, no more squeak and therefore no more rubbing/fatigue

Got mine replaced in Doncaster, no problem with Mercedes truck getting a new one.

You mention the price of diesel, so I assumed you had a diesel engined vehicle. However the Ebay link is for petrol engine oil.

Yes as you say it says petrol in the advert I understood that 229.5 oil was diesel , on the container it doesn't suggest its for diesel or petrol , I will phone them to clarify the situation.
Thanks for pointing it out.
