2002 Mercedes rapido 2.7 ltr , 5 cylinder
My Rapido is losing power as it goes uphill. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Too little info to tell but one educated guess is an EGR valve fault, this will certainly manifest itself when going uphill.
The copper injector sealing washers can go brittle & cause problems but usually it'd misfire with this fault & sometimes smell of diesel.
The 2.7 5 cylinder lump is generally regarded as one of Mercedes best diesel engine.

Oh & if you give us an idea where in the country you are its easier for forum members to help or advise one another.

When my 5 cylinder Sprinter lost power it was the turbo boost valve which costs around £90 from MB or half that price for third party type. Simple to fit oneself.

Thankyou . Am in Crowborough in East Sussex. So it’s an A class camper. If it is one of those valves , where would it be found in the engine ?

Could be several reasons, does it go into limp mode, does it keep changing gear or stick in third, any yellow lights on etc. Is it a Sprintshift?) On my last van, which has the same engine, after much expense and changing many parts in turned out to be the hydraulic pump on the gearbox (the Sprintshift is a manual gearbox with a hydraulic change.) Also check the 60 amp fuse under the drivers seat.
