Memory foam topper

Anyone know if it is possible to fold a king size 2" or 3" memory foam topper to use on a single bed. I am thinking of purchasing one for home use (king size) but wondered about using it when in the van (single bed).

You can fold them for storage so I see no reason why not.
Would you be able to wrap the excess topper round the mattress rather than folding it?

If you keep it folded and use it as a single in time it will split.
