No you don't need a membership card.
But you can ask for a big smiley sticker to go on your window,thereby informing the world that you are part of a select band of exceptionally fine people who are fantastic in every way!

Which is confusing the hell out of me

Currently, new members numbers are in the 50,000s plus.

Can only think returning or long time 'read only' members retain their old number.

If you plan on going to any of the motorhome shows and camping in the funsters enclosure (highly recommended) instead of general camping you will usually get a club discount.
Just tell them, or enter on the booking form, you're with motorhomefun and your membership number.
FUN rallies etc, just post on the relevant rally thread that you would like to attend.
