Tea & Cakes

How many motorhomers does it take to put up a tent in the wind for tea and cakes??
Absolutely loads :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: You can see why the bought motor homes instead of tents all gave up in the end :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: to windy

Who was it that said the walk was a 3.5 mile stroll? :whatthe:
It was more like a blooming route march. :ROFLMAO: (Not really, but the body knows it's been on a wee jaunt)
Never mind eh? There was enough incentive to take part, ie, a trip round the Idle Brewery, and a couple of relaxing pints before hitting the trail again. Nice one Mick. :thumb:

Cheers,

Jock.

Lazy morning followed by afternoon tea and delicious cakes in the Nigel and Pamela's marquee/shelter.

Talking rather than walking for me today:winky::roflmto:

Looking forward to tonight now::bigsmile:

Been sunny but windy.

Morning all, from a damp, grey, and overcast Misterton. Hopefully, that will change for the better

Another good night was had by all in Nigel + Pamala's shelters, helped by Mick's barrel of real ale, Mp3 music, and great company.

[HI]A big welcome to Funsters Callumwa[/HI], on their very first Fun meet/rally. Glad that you and the family have enjoyed your weekend. :thumb:

Cheers for now,

Jock & Rita.

Gusty winds this morning but the events tent of the Sundowners seem OK looking out the window.

I finished early last night but there were people in the events tent till just after midnight and where they went then well? this has been a very social meet to say the least.

I am looking forward to the bacon butties this morning now::bigsmile:

Misterton Meet

Many thanks to the organisers of this meet and all the funsters who have made me feel welcome on my first meet. I have enjoyed meeting new people and I am sure we shall meet again in the future.

The tea and cakes yesterday were very nice and the drinks and conversation I had in the beer tent last night and the night before were very enjoyable.

Hi all,

Rita and I got home safely about an hour ago.

We'd just like to thank Sheila and Mick, for organising a great weekend, ably assisted by Andy & Shirl, with help from Nigel and Pamala, at this morning's bacon roll fest.

A superb weekend in great company.

Thanks again, :thumb:

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
A BIG thankyou , to Sheila Mick Andy and Shirley , Nigel and Pamela ( and anyone else who helped in any way )
We have had a fantastic weekend. The sunny, all be it at times , very windy weather managed to keep the rain at bay.
The lovely, friendly company around the site and in the "beer tent" on an evening , a great walk with an interesting tour of the micro brewery where we had to have a few samples of course, yummy cakes and afternoon tea, and lovely thick cut bacon sandwiches this morning. Which we thought we were going to miss as I was the first one to wake up at 9.30 am:Blush:

The dogs are fast asleep , Busters twitching away dreaming of Rosie :winky: (sorry Scran you've got some proper competition now) in fact they will both probably sleep for the whole day now. After all that running around yesterday through the fields, with all the other dogs.

Ive got the first load of washing in , and are writing this whilst waiting for my steam iron to heat up to do the school uniforms.
The kids are doing homework and Ralphs out digging up the back garden with his mini digger.

Thanks to everyone for making us all feel really welcome , it was nice to put names to a few more funsters faces too.

It was very windy and gusty on the motorway on the way home, so take care everyone thats going back today.

When Jim writes "How to run a meet" followed by Link Removed he'll be quoting from White House Farm 2011.

It was almost too good, the effort put in by Team Runrig was just too good. They spoiled us.

So like all spoiled brats WE WANT MORE, what date next year and put me down NOW or I'll qwy and qwy and stamp my feet.

Thank you.

Further thanks to Pamala and Nigel for providing their Coleman event shelters, they are brilliant for socialising. We will assist you with the dismantling when this blasted wind drops.

Many, many thanks to Sheila and Mick & Andy & Shirl, plus Nigel and Pamala for the shelter. Fantastic meet at a very nice spot.

Didn't go on the pub walk as lunchtime drinking sends me to sleep and I didn't want to put Hilldweller's back out because I know he would have insisted on carrying me back :roflmto:

A couple of good ales each evening more than made up for that though and the bacon sandwiches were superb.

Thanks to everyone who made it a great weekend.

We have just made it home from Misterton...

What a lovely weekend we had at our first Funsters meet. It was great to put faces to so many names.

A big big thank you to Sheila & Mick and Andy & Shirl for all their great efforts, and everyone else for making us so welcome, it was very much appreciated..:thumb::thumb:

And the "micro brewed" beer tent was super, as was the ale....

We look forward to the next opportunity to meet up again....

Well what a lovely weekend it was. I can't thank everybody enough, especially Sheila, Mick, Andy, Shirl, Pamela and Nigel for all their hard work and kindness. Thank you also to Ray for lending us his aerial which proved to us that our's are crap. Thank you also to Jill, Ray and Win for letting me have goes on their electric bikes. I'm beginning to sound like an Oscar winner (and thank you to the cleaner and the man on the corner who sells the vegetables), but it was a great weekend and I have added so many more faces to the names now.

Look forward to seeing some of you at Thetford and the others at some time in the not too distant future. ::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

A big Thank you

Hi Pete and I (Linda) would like to say a big thank you to everyone who organised the meet. It was lovely to see you all although we didn't get to meet everyone in person. Some faces to names on the site so hopefully whenI go into the chat room I will have an idea who I am talking to. Thanks again hope to see you all soon as we were made to feel really welcome as newbys. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Hi All
Just like to say a big thanks to Mick Sheila Shirl and Andy for the warm welcome we where given and for being great hosts. The whole meet was just so relaxing with no pressure on anyone to do anything apart from have fun. Also a big thank you to Nigel and Pamela for the shelter would have been a tad blowy without it.

Was really good to meet some old friends but also nice to put faces to names. We look forward to meet you all again sometime.
