£51 well spent , another five years until I need to worry about it. Not sure if I'll downsize when the time comes , or , go on a five year health kick to make sure I pass:D.

I keep my hgv licence as a matter of pride. But as I am now 73 I think this will be the last year.
You never know when you might get the desire to trunk from Northampton to Preston/Carlisle if you get fed up driving the motorhome:D.

No when you reach 65 you have to have one every year to keep your hgv.

On n off fer years
My hgv/ psv runs out soon and I think I'm just going to let it lapse, I've been retired a year this week and haven't felt the slightest urge to jump up in the cab again. On the medical front my local surgery calls all the old guys in when they reach 65 and give them an MOT.my doctor said I would pass a licence medical no problem just bring the forms in

I've just gone through the full medical but maybe I'm thrifty. I pay just £50.00 unlike @cruiser who has money to burn.
Yes, so that's my licence renewed for another 12 months.
Unsure whether I will renew my vocational licence next year but I probably will. Might get the urge to drive commercially. Don't need it for the Moho.
However, it's £50.00 well spent.

I’m due to get my vocational licences renewed next month (69).
I’ll keep going till 70 then get that one for the van (+3500) and that be it for 3years.
Use the traveling doctors as a quick annual mot on myself.

On and off for many years.
I have passed my medical again. Another £51 pounds. Just so I can keep on my travels to annoy more fun members. So beware I am on the road .:clap::clap:

It cost me £80 at GP and £20 at optician - but that was health related rather than age related and done at my own GP as they had all the notes. It was also a very through check up (GP took over an hour) and not at all rushed.

My doc wanted 120 quid ten years ago. I downgraded my ambulance. Was something I just hadn't bothered to do since it was stripped of medical and emergency gear.

My doctor wants £160.00 for exactly the same thing. No, hats off to you @cruiser for just lashing out your surplus cash. I admire your extravagance. Yep, I'm a cheapskate. Could have got it for £40.00 but awkward times so really pushed the boat out.
