The Christmas Holiday, to Gran Canaria to get Basia away after death of mother in September, started off badly because of snow and accident on M/Way meant one hour journey took two hours, made flight, one hour delay for xe-icing.

Night in good hotel.

Then shit hit revolving blade. I, I not anybody else, left rucksack on hire company's garage floor. Discover loss at apartment 2hours later.

Apart from Euros, camera etc. the biggest problem was my loss of medication(
only preventative but needed).

No phone calls over two days retrieved bag.

Mon evening pharmacy said they could provide medication without prescription! Which they did - Basia relieved I would not keel over - I was not so worried.

This morning we were off to Tejeda which nestles in the. bottom of an old Caldera of a volcano. We had an excellent lunch with stunning view.

Moral of story. Life can be recovered frominor disasters.

Not a good start to your vacation...let's hope the rest goes well..🎅🇪🇦

At least your in the country you expected when leaving home and the ryanair fiasco ended up in Portugal with easyjet .
Sit back and relax and let the sunshine help warm your hearts

Like the guy in the check in queue at the airport who said to his missus, "I wish I'd brought the television with me" His wife just looked at him and asked "Why ?"
"Because our passports are sitting on top of it" was the reply  :X3:

Daughter of one of my work partners got Grenada and Granada muddled when booking her return flights from her S.America gap year travels home. She’d planned a detour but it cost Greg rather more than he planned. She’d done something like Buenos Aires to Granada and then Grenada to Heathrow!

Basia is of course absolutely right about your tablets and everything else no doubt like all us women.
