I’m a newbie
Hi guys
sorry to be such a pest But you’re all very good at helping ?. I would like some led lighting for under the Fiamma awning Which can stay there to act as an outside light also. The fiamma lights seem to be the standard but don’t look very bright. Any suggestions please.

I am struggling to see the difference between that trunking and the trunking sold by toolstation or screwfix other than it being aluminium, surely plastic would work just as well? Unless it comes with the LED strip included?

Does this plastic trunking have a transparent or translucent cover like the aluminium one in the link? I can't find any on the Screwfix site.

The latest LED tape I bought runs at 2 amps per metre (they are very bright though ?) and gets hot so aluminium will dissipate the heat better, the LEDs will last longer and it won't melt/bend/discolour... or worse ?.

The Fiamma LED lighting strips that slide into the awning casing are a lot brighter than the advertising photos show.

I fitted the Fiamma LED lighting strips along with LED encased strip light from Aten Lighting in the front rail of our awning both hooked a touch dimmer for each.

even the aluminium ones have a pvc cover, normally translucent,

to the OP, and the other contributors, i didnt realise she wanted the led tape to be hidden, so the suggestions re the aluminium with a diffuser seem to be a good option. you can get all sorts of 12v led lighting, so take a good look around and i am sure with a little help from people on here you will find what you are looking for

I just changed the bulb to an LED one on ours though, didn't want the awning to look like a petrol station forecourt at night ?

As I said, dimmable so I can set the mood although it's done me no good to now, but hey, can you get a suntan at night.:rofl::rofl:

Changed our factory fitted awning light to LED too.
