Last minute idea for value camping this year?! Spotted that 50 RVs from our sister club RVOC are attending these three combined Shows & know that Fun has had a good relationship with the organiser in the past so contacted him to see if he could once again offer great value camping to Funsters. Currently waiting to see what is possible so if anyone is interested please post here or message us so we can alert you once the outcome is known. This may be just a discount code offer for booking online rather than an organised Meet as although we hope to, we may not be able to attend, but whatever the outcome please be aware of the Shows rules as well as Government guidelines to distance & keep COVID Safe.
Camping for the Shows is arriving Friday 18th & leaving Monday 21st September but that can be extended by arriving the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before at an extra £10 per unit per night. Have a look at these websites https://adventure-overland-show.com/ & https://international-campervan-show.com/ - they look interesting with stands, talks, food & maybe some open air entertainment Stratford Racecourse facilities include toilets, showers, water,waste, laundry (extra cost) & well behaved dogs are welcome. All the popular attractions of Stratford are in walking & cycling distance.

Just FYI, I’m booked on Stratford Race. Course site this weekend as we are going to do some touristy bits around the town before the Pershore event on Monday. I was told at booking that the toilet/shower block isn’t open due to Covid19.

Thank you for the info. - certainly facilities for the Show camping are something to be double checked - have to admit we feel happier using our own at present but some would need these.

If it was a show situation then probably the racecourse would be open to the public and have some cleaning provisions in place for covid. I don't think they would want public punters using the trees and walls to" hide" behind.

Good Morning - latest is that the Shows & camping are going ahead in a COVID Safe manner so anyone can book at any point & plenty of space so unlikely to be full but the organiser is looking into how viable it is to offer Fun a discount code (perhaps 20% so a good saving) just for Funsters without it becoming available to all. As we don't have membership cards it would have to rely on perhaps me private messaging it to those interested & trusting that those members don't share or pass it on as the concern would be the potentially huge loss of revenue if it did get used by unauthorised others. Reference facilities - I can double check those once we have a decision on the discount code although think they would have to provide at least toilets for such an event as well as water & waste for campers. Will update again as soon as we know more.

Carpmart Jimbohorlicks Chocy boy Grimsbygranny we have great news - it's not 20% discount as mentioned before but the organisers have kindly agreed a most excellent 50% discount strictly for Fun paid up subscription members only! That's just £33.79 for 2 adults for 3 nights weekend camping in lovely Stratford Upon Avon & 2/3 Shows or just £22 for solo campers with earlier nights (see first post) at just £10 extra per night We will be collating a list to make sure this is not passed on or shared & numbers are limited!

VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT PASS THIS CODE ON. To put quite simply – to do so will jeopardise future discounts with us and other organisers. Far from being ‘rivals’, organisers talk to each other, so we would quickly find out if discount schemes have been improperly used. This hefty one-off discount is solely due to help out is what has been a terrible year for the show season, please don’t abuse it.

How to book:-

One you have received the special MHF discount code, go to Broken Link Removed When it says ENTER A DISCOUNT CODE, enter the code and the price will automatically reduce by half. You can then can print off an e-ticket to bring with you for scanning at the gate upon arrival at the racecourse. Simple! No e-ticket, no entry. The alternative is to pay full price in cash at the gate. With Track & Trace in operation we have to be strict , the local authority will be watching us.

For now it's a very loose Meet as although we aim to be there we can't be definite as waiting on a hospital appointment, we don't have our own Fun area so think we shall all probably be spread around the camping areas & we can't greet, gather & interact as we would like to due to COVID! However being Funsters sure we will manage to locate each other & have some safe SD friendly chats regardless, the Shows do look interesting & Stratford is a pleasant area.

For anyone who hasn't bought their tickets yet suggest trying the auction as Emmit mentioned above - this is the thread https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...dventure-overland-18th-21st-sept-2020.225906/ so maybe worth bidding as could go for less than the 50% discounted price?! It's worth a try & for a very good cause They were donated with a raffle in mind but hopefully the auction will raise more for Prostrate Cancer UK.
There are still enough discounted places (so far!) so no risk of losing that option at present - currently checking on latest date that the code can be used so will keep this thread updated.
