just acquired the ACSI book and card, may be a daft question, as the blurb says present your card on arival etc, can you in fact book sites in advance?

Some sites will let you book in advance but the reason that they accept the card is because they are unlikely to be full.
We have used the card for many years and have never booked a site in advance as we never know where we will end up.
