The blind catch on my Maxxfan Delux blind has partly broken so it catches to close but part way through the night it springs open waking us up.
I am trying to locate a replacement and cannot find a UK contact for spares, I have emailed the European HQ of Airxcel the owners of the Maxxfan company but no response.
Any ideas ?

Have a wee look on ebay Dave, there seem to be a few different ones on there.

Kind regards....Robert.

Thanks exactly what I was looking for 👏👏👏👏👏

Otter Spotter just came across this as we have the exact same issue in that the screw on catch has broken. Did you ever manage to find a replacement?

Yes and Maxxfans UK supplier sent me one for free, Leisure Vehicle Services 👍🏻

Hi Dave, might be able to help. Daughters boyfriend has a 3d printer and has made me a couple in slightly harder plastic.

That's really interesting - I had thought that 3D printing might be the option but it is a black art to me! I'll give the importers a call and see how I get on.

Slightly sideways comment. I thought the spring on the roller was too strong and occasionally suffered the OPs problem of releasing at an unwanted time. I just did some very minor disassembling and reduced the tension a bit - no more jumping out! It would also probably work if the catch was a little defective - but don't loosen it too much!

I would agree with TerryL and may adjust the spring. Always feels like a mouse trap ready to go off!

Phoned leisure vehicle services and they will pop a couple in the post! As ever MF comes up trump.

Thanks guys for your help!

Hi Phil,
Thanks but got it sorted as per post #10.

I did the same when fitting the new catch 👍🏻👍🏻

So brilliant service from Leisure Vehicle Service - 2 catches sent in the post with no charge, now all sorted including reduced spring tension!. Amazing!
