Maxxfan deluxe

Does anyone have any experience of using one of these? How do they compare to cabin aircon?

I have a Maxxfan delux and it’s brilliant, although could be made better. It won’t compare to Hab aircon, which is what I assume you are talking about, but hab aircon needs 240v plug in, which isn’t always available, and when it’s not you are not using it you are just lugging around something very heavy. A Maxxfan alaways works. If you do mean cabin aircon then you need the engine running, so not really comparable

Neither. Buy a square mains one for €20, you can clip it in the ceiling light at night or window during the day. It's very effective in the window when you're sat next to it and spray yourself with water
