Does anyone have experience of these and know anyone experienced that fits them in Leeds Area.

There are a list of threads here about them

All by myself I recently replaced a Dometic Mini Heki Plus 400 x 400 mm roof vent with a Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe. The job seemed quite daunting at first but turned out to be a breeze.

Excellent bit if kit. I have posted links to an article that explains how to install it without screwing in to the roof.

You will need to search on the forum, I can't remember when I posted it!

Has anyone replaced their existing aircon unit with this fan? Although our existing unit (Dometic B2000) still works okay as we're rarely on hookup powerful enough to run it when we need it I'm giving serious thought to the Maxxfan. Looks easy enough to do and is apparently a straight swap.

had one fitted to my PVC and I wouldn’t be without it. In hot weather it creates a great airflow through the van. Very useful for clearing food smells and steam quickly out of van.

for the omnivent one fitted in the motorhome as the 'norm'. Far better and a doddle to fit

We are thinking the same. Repurpose mains cable to 12v supply. Think worst bit will be lifting the dometic aircon down to floor level without damaging van or back!

I have 2 fitted (one above the rear bed and one between the kitchen/lounge) and i can attest they are a fantastic bit of kit. I fitted them myself in existing 400 mm holes and a simple 12V run. We were in Seville, June last year, and it was 38 deg and they worked like a charm. We found that having the one in the bedroom blowing in and the one above the kitchen extracting gave us a good, cool circulation of air that enabled us to sleep comfortably (they are also fairly quite, especially compared to an air con unit!!) at night. Well recommended.

We bought a new van in April 2019 and had a Maxxfan fitted by Rhino Installs in Preston. I think it is our most useful and most used accessory. We use it whenever we are cooking, during warm weather for cooling etc. Really effective and flexible a great bit of kit. Be sure to have the optional pull across blind.

Does the option of the blind come as an extra and if so...can it befitted afterwards would you know?

It’s an extra. I’m guessing it can be retrofitted as it is a casement that presumably screws onto the fan unit.
