In Portugal at the moment how do I get it onto astra1
read the book to blue in the face it makes no sense to me.
Help.

Ps I have a dome fitted, not after uk channels just some news or German sport.

Astra 1 at 19.2E ought to be OK in Portugal, as should Eutelsat Hot Bird at 13.0E. As you say, not much will be available in English.

Is Astra 1 visible and enabled in the list of satellites? If you have the same instruction book as shown on the Maxview site, how to access the list is shown on p22.

If it is shown and enabled, it should be a case of following the instructions on p24, which will search that satellite for channels and add them after your existing list. I suspect that only Astra 2 channels are preprogrammed for the UK market.

Hope this helps. I don't know this receiver in particular but know in general how these things (might?) work. You shouldn't be able to damage your box or delete any existing stuff by following the instructions, as the results of the search don't overwrite what is already there.
