Max fan sprung a leak, please help

Last night max fan started to drip, took the internal frame out and stuffed towels in the reveals to catch the drip. This morning got up at 6 with towels saturated. Changed them again, now looking for a tool station for some puraflex.
We are in Kent, near Maidstone on a campsite. Don’t know the area very well. Anyone know where I can park under a roof so I can take the fan off? It’s a high top crafter. I know a petrolstation in Aylesford and a Asda near A20, I think. Not sure if they will allow me for a 1-2 hrs. I will try there. But if anyone knows any country bypass or similar, I could drive there under a bridge or something. The rain has not stopped since last night and we kinda used all tee towels, just swapping them and wring out.

Thank you, that’s a good spot. I’m looking for a ladder now. Got a 5 foot it’s to short.

Other than the chance of a Funster local to you coming up good, then I would have thought buying a telescopic ladder would be an option as you could get it in you van or maybe a hire shop as your only going to need it for a few hours.

As a temporary fix , rather than remove the whole fan buy some of this and put a fillet around fan frame on the roof. This stuff can be used on wet surfaces

Or maybe for the time being until the weather is a little kinder, cover the area of your Maxfan and beyond with polythene and tape it all around with duct tape.

Got a ladder, puraflex and some blades. I asked at a texaco near toolstation and I don’t think anyone will allow me on ladders on their premises. I’m gonna duct tape a black bag over the window until weather allows me to take the fan off.

Park it slightly off level to help any standing water run off until fixed

It is off level, trouble is with divets collects water and is pooling either back or front. I’m gonna move it the get better access at it, and level as best I can. Hopefully weather allows from 12 to 2 ish. Got the black bag on it now.

Thank you all for your kind support. I think I did it. Had a black bag as back up cover, and took the fan and frame off. The sealant on the metal body is well and truly bonded, as predicted. Managed to pry it of starting in the offending corner, with a chisel. It was well bedded into the indentation of the frame. Clear sign where it failed: at the screw holes, 2 front and each corner. If I had a tape to cover the screws it would of been fine. Took it all off, cleaned the plastic but left the silicone bed on the metal roof. Filled up the holes with sealant, a bead on the frame, on the roof and around the holes. Stuck it back on with sealant coming out the fixing holes. Put the screws in, smoothed the sealant, and then run 3 layers staggered of white gaffa tape over the screws at the top. Re fitted the fan. Covered the fan with the bag so it has a chance to skin off before it rains again. This should see me out couple of weeks, until I will take it all off, build a kerb to be able to screw into, without penetrating the roof. A bit like velux flat roof kerb surround. It’s a poor design to have the crews exposed and screw through the sealant that’s meant to keep the water out. The pooling water it doesn’t affect if sealant is bonded to the metal. So far there is no sign of entry there, only where the screws are.
Off to the launderette to wash the towels and the rest.
