We want to buy a new mattress, French fixed bed. Can anyone recommend somewhere? We didn't get on with a memory foam one on our home bed as it made me too hot so think we will need to avoid memory foam.

I also find memory foam too hot and now use a blue memory foam topper , 2inch, on top of 3 inch of upholstery foam, as I am limited on height of mattress.
The blue memory foam is alot cooler, very handy for those of us having hot flushes

We just went to a local independent but large bed dealer and they had a supplier who made them to measure. Just had to decide how many springs.

We had a custom mattress made. Found that was the best way so we could get the foam we wanted, as we also find memory foam too hot. Just use the foam cut to size service here.
